As a member of MCHS senior administration, the Administrative Chair-Population Health is responsible for overseeing all of the value-based programs in MCHS that include ACO, Medicare fee-for-service, Medicare Advantage and commercial programs, as well as the development and oversight of future population health products including those that relate to employer and payor partnerships, and lead/manage performance to optimize quality and cost effectiveness. Oversee efforts of the care management services, HCC coding and education and population health analytics across MCHS. Leads the development of MCHS population health strategies, including articulation of strategic plan developed at the direction of the Mayo Clinic Health System Executive Committee. Collaborate with Mayo Clinic Health System resources, departments, and delivery network leadership to inform development and refine strategy.

Oversee ACO activities as well as, health strategy for patients attributed to NEMG and associated with value-based agreements. Focus on care coordination, preventive care, accurate coding of patient health status, risk stratification, managing high risk and rising risk patients. Collaborate with payers to share data and manage better outcomes.

Responsible for valued based contracting including shared and full risk agreements and managing 12 Provider Collaborations. These Collaborations are focused on quality, efficiency, patient satisfaction and closing gaps in care. Assist in the development of high performance networks and driving results for better than market performance in quality and affordability.

Responsible for developing strategy and managing a regional network for a local health plan. Actively involved in contracting with hospitals, physician and ancillary providers. Responsible for the development of new and innovative provider partnerships, including value based reimbursement strategies. Analyze, evaluate and project unit cost to be competitive in the market. Liaison between the provider community and the health plan.
