For this, I find a community event or group of interest to our market, coordinate a live interview with our in-studio anchor, and send a photographer to shoot their location to shoot it. -I find breaking news events and make the final call on where to send our day-side photographers to shoot. -Assign reporters to photographers and I am the person to call to sort out something that goes wrong. -I work with producers to determine reporters stories, which may include doing the legwork of tracking down interview subjects, arranging times to meet, and getting official statements from government officials. -I communicate with sources within law enforcement, local and federal government, emergency medical services and private companies to verify information. -I communicate with our chopper pilot and other stations to get air coverage of breaking events -I update iNews with show rundown information for reporters packages and VSOTs from photographers -I work with NTCR and producers to create a live shot sheet for reporters, with their RX and IFB information.
