After completing my Maternity Cover Placement in the National role I was asked to head up a new project in the WA office. As the Employee Engagement Officer for the 250 seat call centre it was my job to liaise with all staff, capturing individual feedback and assess overall employee engagement whilst identify potential flight risks to the business. All this contributed to implementing ways to reduce overall attrition. I was asked specifically to create and step into this role as coming from the phones originally years ago - I had the relatable experience of doing the cold sales and training, working alongside some of the team on the floor and as a recruiter having hired a lot of the newer staff I already had that personable connection and respect with a lot of people in the call centre. In the 4/5 months of being in this role, our centre's attrition was brought down by 12% and we identified areas we could improve by implementing some quick wins (specific rewards and recognition) and more long term strategies to maintain our skilled staff.

Maternity cover placement for 11months where I managed 4 inboxes, completed monthly stocktakes and managed the day to day inventory for 2 x Telstra Business Centres. In the role I liased with the logistics company we used in Melbourne and Sydney almost daily to ensure smooth delivery to our customers Australiawide alongside managing/tracking/replacing all staff devices and Australia Post devices. A busy role at a National level which I thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
