• Oversee day-to-day operations for alternative educator preparation program operating in Arizona and Hawai’i, including curriculum design, clinical placement for teacher candidates, admissions, and student success • Lead a team of 10+ faculty and staff, including instructors, clinical placement observers, and support roles • Design curriculum for elementary, secondary, early childhood, and special education programs of study• Develop and make improvements on organization-wide policies and procedures, handbooks, and documents• Determine programmatic strategy for new states and programs by assessing teacher shortage and educator preparation data, then execute application strategy according to state and federal regulations• Maintain program operations to federal and state accreditation standards

- Provide instructional coaching to new teacher residents and fellows. - Supervise and mentor special education and general education faculty and instructional coaches to support their daily work functions and professional goals - Provide professional development for faculty, residents (teachers in the first year of our program), and fellows (teachers in the second year and beyond). - Teach online and in-person graduate-level coursework in Literacy, Special Education, General Education, Classroom Management and more with an average instructor rating of 3.81 (out of 4).- Produce bi-weekly faculty newsletter with updates on coaching, coursework, site & national team, and upcoming events - Provide feedback on curriculum design on a semesterly basis - Led initiative and professional development to support non-special-education faculty to understand and implement Universal Design for Learning- Created and maintain extensive video coaching database based on Teacher Practice Rubric to showcase short clips of strong and weak teaching practices for supporting faculty and participants - Designed and provided supplementary workshops for novice teachers on the practices of case management, specialized instruction and behavior management

- Conducted meetings with Americorps grant recipients and administrators to explore pathways towards Americorps approval - Wrote cost-benefit analysis of different Americorps pathways- Presented updates to Urban Teachers staff of decision-makers, including CEO - Ultimately chose pathway and were awarded Americorps status

- Reviewed participant data, identified areas of focus, and built strong relationships with coaching cadre- Implemented the coaching model at Urban Teachers in accordance with established protocols, expectations, and with the identified technology- Provided frequent verbal and written feedback to teachers who had been teaching less than one month and teachers who had completed a year of teaching during summer instruction- Reliably evaluated participants' teaching practice on the Urban Teachers’ Teacher Practice Rubric- Maintained appropriate data on all program participants

I worked with a 1000-person community to train teachers and community members in English literacy and technology. I created a functional library within the primary school, and connected the community with other NGOs providing technology. I provided a training for young men and women from multiple provinces on leadership, life skills and sexual health using a Peace Corps Small Projects Assistance grant (through USAID funding).

As a Data Coordinator consultant, I worked to manage the teacher certification process for more than 50 new teachers with Urban Teachers, an alternative certification program in Baltimore, MD.. I also managed day-to-day data operations within the organization to ensure that information maintained on participants in the program was up-to-date, accessible and functional. I also worked with the Chief Academic Officer to expand our program to additional sites.

As the IEP Chair of KIPP Harmony Academy, I was directly involved with the management of specialized education programs for students with disabilities. As a part of this work, I managed a year-long schedule of Individualized Education Program meetings in compliance with Maryland state and federal special education regulations, facilitating between many groups of stakeholders. I also worked to prepare all of the documents associated with such meetings and to complete data entry for IEP and Student Excellence Team meetings. Throughout my work, I also collaborated with school and district constituents to ensure school-wide compliance with state and federal special education regulations.

KIPP: Harmony Academy is one of the highest-performing elementary schools in Baltimore City, which is part of a national network of high-performing charter schools serving at-risk students. As a special educator, I worked to develop curricula for inaugural first and second grades based on state standards and the Common Core of Standards and provide high-quality instruction based on these standards to students with Individualized Education Programs in more than 4 classrooms. I collaborate with more than four different classroom teachers to plan differentiated instruction, implement behavior modification systems, and provide necessary accommodations for students with disabilities. I also work to ensure compliance to national, state and city-wide regulations for all paperwork.
