My name is Katie and I am the head flower farmer, while my husband focuses mainly on the berries! We started with growing veggies in a few raised beds and expanded that this past year to 12 raised beds, 51 blueberry plants, and 1096 flowers (along with several other potted plants and tomatoes that we started in our greenhouse). After coaching other organizations on business and financial literacy for the past 4 years, I have decided it was time to coach my 2 daughters and niece on how to run a small business. I also wanted to get my hands dirty and enjoy our beautiful 5 acres a little more. We still have a lot to figure out (like where we will be selling all of our beautiful and delicious products), but I keep telling myself the same thing I tell my clients: Ready, Fire, Aim! My company is called Dream Big Consulting. "Dream Big" was my motto the year after Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Ozarks won mid-size Agency of the Year from over 300+ agencies nationwide. I really believe that the Great Game of Business took us to the next level so that we could dream even bigger about the future of BBBS. I am taking that concept and teaching other nonprofits/public entities how to apply the Great Game's open book management philosophy to make their organizations successful. We are calling it Great Game for the Social Sectors.When I left Big Brothers Big Sisters in the Fall of 2016 in order to spend more time with my family, I had several of my peers from other organizations reach out to me for advice on how to replicate what we did at BBBS. Forming this company was the best way for me to reach the most organizations, and make the biggest impact. I had several mentors, board members, donors and a great team who helped me build a very successful organization. I would like to share my experience with others, so they too can Dream Big about the future of their organizations.

I am focused on moving Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Ozarks to a regional office by helping to facilitate growth within our offices in Joplin and Branson. I am also working on the building addition to our Springfield office and focusing on sources of sustainable income.
