Nationally certified school psychologist (NCSP) with a Masters in Education degree (M.S.Ed.) & Educational Specialist degree (Ed.S.). Passionate in providing educational services that are rooted in best practices for children and adults alike. I believe students (humans) do well when they can. I believe in the neuroscience of learning & the importance of the brain state. I believe in learning that centers children's developmental needs and builds on their strengths. Former School Psychologist for the St. Croix River Education District (SCRED), serving early childhood through transition age students in a rural community. Multifaceted role including MTSS implementation and the Response to Intervention model for qualifying students under SLD.I then served as a Tier 3 Behavior Interventionist (through ADSIS) in a K-5 school in a suburban community. This role primarily focused on direct teaching of skills in small groups and/or 1:1 settings, and also included behavior response and crisis teaming (especially as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic). As part of former roles, I have also:-served as lead and facilitator of district and school-wide Student Support Teams, Intervention Support Teams, Social-Emotional Learning teams, and Equity teams.-participated in implementation of practices, including the MDE PBIS cohort in two districts.-created and presented professional development at the school and district-wide levels.
