Katie Doherty Hendon attended Georgia State University, where she received a BA in journalism, concentration in public relations. Katie’s PR and marketing background puts her ahead of the game, as she has exceptional communication skills and the ability to give listings their best possible exposure.Shortly after graduating, Katie began work as the Manager of Client Relations for a wealth management firm. Here, she was responsible for resolving customer service issues, managing a client outreach program, and creating marketing materials for the company. Although she loved her job, Katie knew she wanted a career that more thoroughly involved helping others, while also supporting her native city of Atlanta, so she took the leap into real estate. Now, Katie is a licensed salesperson in Georgia and a member of the National Board of Realtors®. In 2017, she received the award for "Rookie of the Year" in her office for number of units sold; Katie was also featured in the February 2018 issue of "Top Agent Magazine". As an Atlanta native, Katie has a true passion for her city. She has lived inside the perimeter as well as outside and has an extensive knowledge of Atlanta, as well as its surrounding areas. Katie loves people and is passionate about helping others. She often volunteers for local non-profit organizations and remains active within her community. Katie loves walking dogs and is an avid tennis player. She also married the love of her life, Tanner Hendon, on August 15, 2020; Katie and Tanner reside in Brookhaven. Katie specializes in helping first-time homebuyers find their dream home while giving them the guidance they need to understand the process. Also, as a millennial herself, she can assist in teaching her peers the advantage of purchasing a home versus renting; however, whether you're interested in listing your home for sale, purchasing for the first time, or simply buying a secondary property, Katie would be more than happy to assist you with any and all of your real estate needs.
