Implementation Specialist
CurrentI guide public libraries as they implement their new websites from beginning to end. My goal is to help libraries understand the products, but more importantly, how to use the products effectively, efficiently, and in alignment with the library's brand and vision. I specialize in BiblioWeb, BiblioEvents and BiblioEmail implementations. In addition, I am responsible for training libraries on how to use the products, and work with libraries to implement reader's advisory best practices, homepage strategy and website goals. In 2024, I helped migrate previous training courses into a new platform for clients, and developed new courses including many brief, “in-a-minute” courses to supplement the existing training for both new clients and existing clients.Webinars and Presentations-Deconstructing and Reconstructing Your Homepage: Notes from the Tortured Webmasters Department (Library Marketing & Communications Conference, St. Louis, November 2024)-Readers Advisory Best Practices (Kansas City, October 2024)-Tutorial-Based Learning (October 2024)-Not Everything Can Go on the Homepage 3.0, Texas Library Association annual conference (April 2024)-Incorporating DEI and Accessibility Into Your Library Marketing, webinar (March 2024)-Not Everything Can Go on the Website, virtual webinar and at Library Marking & Communications Conference, Indianapolis (November 2023, February 2024)-Creating Good Content, webinar (August 2023)-Main Navigation, webinar (April 2023)-Not Everything Can Go on the Homepage 2.0, webinar (January 2023)-Not Everything Can Go on the Homepage, Library Marking & Communications Conference, Indianapolis (November 2022)-Online Resources Best Practices, in person at Conversations in the Commons, Portland, OR (March 2022)
