Katrina Burns is currently the founder and director of the Dear Casi Foundation. The foundation provides support, resources, and education for families of missing persons. She is also a contributing research investigator for Blunt Force Media, and specializes in covering missing person’s cases. She continues her work, as well, as a Researcher with Stonewall Security, where she applies her background in criminal justice, missing persons investigations, insurance fraud, insurance subrogation and mitigation to conduct thorough and accurate investigations for various clients. She is also a contributing member to the Academy of Criminal Justice Science. Alongside of the ACJS, she is a key driving force for The Alexis Ware Act to Enhance Missing Persons Investigations. Burns is passionate about helping families through her volunteer work with several, National, missing persons organizations. She is actively involved with her community and received the 2023 Volunteer of Distinction award. She also contributes her time and efforts to The Broken Link Foundation and Community United Effort. She has been recognized for her advocacy and participation with the St. Baldrick’s Foundation to help cure childhood cancer, as well as organizing community events in underserved and underprivileged neighborhoods. Katrina's mission is to use her experience to bring as many missing and unidentified persons home that she can, and leave an impact on the World around her.
