Working as the amphibian crew lead for the US Geological Survey Forest and Rangeland EcosystemScience Center. I would go on a four day hitch, conduct capture-mark-recapture surveys for the Oregon SpottedFrog (Rana pretiosa), where I weighed, measured SUL, PIT-tagged the frogs according to protocol procedure, monitor stream health and record stream qualities for data, and use dip nets in order to catch them. One week of the season we backpacked in the Cascade Range hiking to high alpine lakes to capture and PIT-tag Oregon Spotted Frogs while also looking for Cascade Frogs (Rana cascadae). I have extensive experience navigating to remote field locations using GPS and paper maps, ensuring accurate travel to survey sites, and experience assisting Western Pond Turtle surveys using radio telemetry. My responsibilities also included managing field gear preparation, organizing materials, planning weekly schedules, and adjusting timelines as needed based on changing logistics. I ensured that all data collected was entered into databases and underwent thorough quality assurance and quality control processes. I utilized GIS to map current survey sites and record location data to support future fieldwork. I also operated 4WD vehicles for off-road travel and long-distance commuting. adhere strictly to weekly protocols and parameters, and was responsible for collecting genetic samples in the field, toe-clips.

Collaboration with the Great Basin Native Plant Project; I do lab work with native plant seeds, germination monitoring, seed counts, leaf weighs, and field work monitoring native plant growth at garden sites throughout the Great Basin.

Collaborating with the Truckee Ranger District on the Tahoe National Forest monitoring and surveying listed and unlisted threatened and endangered species like the California Spotted Owl, Northern Goshawk, Sierra Nevada Yellow-Legged Frog, Bald Eagle, Lahontan Cutthroat Trout, and the Western Bumblebee.
