Clients engage Church Street Services, LLC (CSS) when they want to consider unique, creative or more effective solutions for "getting things done". CSS provides clients a catalyst for achieving what they want - a proven methodology that emphasizes collaboration, fact-based decision-making and healthy doses of reality and imagination. BACKGROUND: Kay Lee, the principal consultant with CSS, led all aspects of delivering a successful Olympic Games experience for Georgia Power. (Position description details will be soon listed below)Kay was the single point of contact for a project that had no precedence and carried ramifications for every Georgia Power department, client and community it served. She believes the project's success was due to a collaborative planning process that organically unfolded between project leaders and employees (over 2,000 at final count). Upon her retirement in 2002, Kay co-founded The Center for Community Preservation and Planning in Newton County Georgia - another initiative with no precedence. By coupling the collaborative planning process with resources available at The Center, leaders and citizens created a nationally recognized model for sustainable community-building – The Newton Model.Whether considering creative solutions, tackling problems, analyzing possibilities or assessing potential partners, a collaborative decision-making process with informed team members does create more effective solutions for "getting things done".

There is nothing a group of people cannot achieve if they work collaboratively and respectfully toward a common goal. My primary responsibility every day was to encourage people to talk to one another. On a side note, maintaining a neutral environment within a highly charged political setting is FUN!

The Center is a neutral planning place where leaders and citizens gather to create unique approaches for managing growth and change. At The Center, Newton County leaders developed The 2050 Plan, a sustainable community design that saves taxpayers over $3.3 billion dollars.
