• Team Leader, Supporting a team pursuing the DHS/CBP IFT program. Responsibilities for managing all field/site - including software integration, design changes, user, and performance improvements - activities of a diverse multi company group from various backgrounds and international participants. These activities are coordinated with a US Government military site supporting demonstrating, deployment, and test of complex border security system.• System Engineer supporting payload IPT for a new surveillance aircraft. Ground segment lead for Communications (data and voice), SIGINT (processing and exploitation), and Massive data handling (processing, latency, storage, and network/transport)• Video Surveillance SME supporting system tuning, improvement, design anomaly isolation, system improvement, and vendor rectification. Including systems with multi-Petabyte storage arrays, several thousand fixed and panning HD cameras, Video analytics, display/workstation performance, and network performance/communications.• Special projects supporting customer/end user opportunities in various defense, security, and commercial activities. Applying video analytics, 3D presentation mapping, system deployment support, site surveys, and system solution evaluations. Supporting customers and developing business for US DHS programs, international programs, and vendor liaison activities.

Domestic And International

• System Architect and technical lead of a (non co-located) software team for internally developed state of the art Situational Awareness system based around Service Oriented Architecture using an Agile process. Responsible for building team, developing team members and driving design along with process methodology. Externally pursuing multiple programs.• Command and Control system design for integrating existing land based ground and coastal sensors in the Middle East. Solution includes integrated radar and electro-optical solutions for border security. In-country expertise and negotiator for several contracts (received and pending) Extensive interface activities with senior staff and end users.• Improved processing technology with ONR for high resolution ‘Zoom’ mode processing of FMCW radar. R&D contract from ONR to implement proposed COTS based solution.• Provided solutions, in-country training and support for NGA and US CenCom programs regarding border security in Jordan. Liaison between senior management, end user, and US customer.• Successful demonstrations of systems for US and international borders to Sandia National Labs, Department of Homeland Security, Royal Canadian Mounted Police, and Middle East end users.• Software Project Engineering Manager for the EH101 Data Link Processor (DLP). Overall technical leadership responsibility for the team of 3 international partnered companies. Primary interface to the (larger) UK MoD and Westland Merlin EH101 helicopter development team.• Applied Research Lab at Penn State (PSU-ARL) support asset security programs.• Naval Research Lab (NRL) - programs using radars, and electro-optical/imagery solutions.• Technical and business interface Netherlands based partner (THALES).• NSA Outreach liaison for security, software, and crypto interfaces.• Systems Engineer for various aspects of weapon control systems, security systems, and communications/power subsystems.
