As a Cyber Security Analyst at OCBC Bank, I apply my communications degree and cyber security skills to safeguard the organisation's IT infrastructure from various threats. I have been working in this role since November 2022, performing 24x7 monitoring on a shift basis. My core competencies include SOC 1, Cyber Defense, and Information Security Analysis.In my recent work experience, I have contributed to several projects that enhanced the security posture and resilience of OCBC Bank. For example, I supported the implementation of a new security incident and event management system, which improved the detection and response capabilities of the security operations center. I also partnered with other analysts and engineers to conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration tests, which identified and remediated potential weaknesses in the network and systems. I am motivated by the challenge and responsibility of protecting one of the largest banks in Southeast Asia, and I value the opportunity to learn from and collaborate with a diverse and talented team of security professionals. I believe that my communications background and cyber security expertise can bring a unique perspective and skill set to the cyber security field.
