Flight Crew Member (pre/post flight, launch/recovery, helium toppings, snubbing, inflations/ deflations, tether inspections, proficiency in all emergency procedures for both moored and airborne flight aerostat operations). Read and understand schematics, technical drawings and engineering data and reports. Maintain and understand site documentation such as parts request forms, equipment condition tags, timecards, and flight data and maintenance logs. Calibrate all site and test equipment as required, and operate general purpose and special purpose vehicles to include man lift operations to heights of 150 feet. As the primary site logistics functions include: submit requisitions (requesting supply) for their assigned site and escalating requisition where applicable; perform 10% physical inventory IAW inventory work instruction, reporting results to the property team, and reconciling database records to update date last inventoried and correct inaccurate quantities. Physically and electronically receive shipments for her/his site which includes performing physical inventory upon receipt, updating RepairData, and coordinating with the shipper to resolve any discrepancies in the packing list. PSS-T Aerostat Operator is a Quick Reaction Capability (QRC) that provides integrated persistent surveillance, detection capabilities, and Full Motion Video (FMV) dissemination to Tactical Operation Centers (TOC). PSS-T integrates different sensors, some of which are located on its airborne aerostat, to detect small arms fires and Counter Improvised Explosive Device (IED) activity near airfields, fixed-base encampments, forward operating locations, and other facilities in support of rapid reaction security forces in the area of operation. Qualified Aerostat operator that can perform in the overall, direct operation of the aerostat system including launch, in-flight, recovery, and moored activities of the PSS-T aerostat mounted Intelligence, Surveillance, And Reconnaissance (ISR) platform, its Mobile Mooring Platform (MMP), Sensor Payload(s), GCS, communications, and navigation systems.
