Building Operations Specialist
CurrentResponsible for the management of nine buildings occupied by Court Services and Offender Supervision Agency (CSOSA). Have direct interaction with building owners and contractors as well as Agency management, tenants, sub-tenants and contractors. Work with lessors, private contractors, and government tenants in a full range of capacities to meet organizational goals and objectives. Responsible for all aspects of building office operations including purchasing, contracting, contract supervision (including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, security, life safety, janitorial, hazardous waste, etc.) and agency tenant services. Participate in building management analyses and reviews to determine cost-effective strategies for providing facilities and real property services. Plan, direct and coordinate building operations, maintenance, repairs and improvements. Conduct continuous inspections of buildings and equipment to determine the need for alterations or repairs. This includes on-going facilities condition assessments to maintain the facilities in optimum operation and structural condition as well as assessing future utility demands created by Agency program changes. Oversee the development and implementation of preventive maintenance schedules and techniques to detect and prevent equipment breakdowns that may hamper operations in the facilities. Inspect construction and operations for compliance with plans, specifications, code, etc. Interpret plans and specifications. Confer with contractor representatives to resolve differences of opinions. Serve as the COR for numerous contracts.
