Main ResponsibilitiesJoined Synthelabo in Dec 97 a new subsidiary of a French based pharma company as one of 21 staff with a R26m turnover. Implemented all financial accounting and reporting, cash management and payroll systems. Synthelabo merged with Sanofi following the French merger in 1999. Was responsible for all systems implementation and with the ”merger team” process and employee integration. IT infrastructure mapping and implementation and managed the support function with external consulting firm. Grew all systems and processes to support 125 staff and turnover (2004) of R345m.Was involved in the design and implementation of Omnipharma (joint venture with Omnimed (Pty) Ltd) and appointed Financial Director in 2000. The JV was responsible for the re-launch of a key group product in SA and the addition of an out-licensed portfolio.Was involved with the Irex project 2003 appointed Financial Director. This included generic market evaluation, investment risk and profitability analysis. Worked in team with SaSy General Manager and Commercial Director – Irex was launched July 2004.
