Reporting to the IUAA Executive Director/CEO, I serve in this senior-level management position and am responsible for: HUMAN RESOURCES/TALENT MANAGEMENT: I oversee human resources operations for the IU Alumni Association and supervise full-time appointed staff responsible for maintenance of accurate and complete payroll and personnel records, classification, & compensation for IUAA staff. In this function, I coordinate on-boarding, training and development experiences for all IUAA staff to develop the skills they need to carry out their roles effectively. To accomplish this successfully, I create partnerships with other university entities, consult with Alumni Association managers to identify training needs, and develop an overall training plan and budget for IUAA staff and volunteers. CORPORATE GOVERNANCE: I manage all activities and communications among the IUAA’s Board of Managers, governing body of IU Alumni Association, Inc, a not-for-profit company. I organize on-boarding and long-term strategies associated with the Board as well as the Executive Council, the primary advisory volunteer body. In this role, I routinely cultivate new alumni volunteers and donors and work closely with IU Foundation partners.OPERATIONS/BUILDING & EVENT MANAGEMENT: I administer and supervise the direction, priorities, and performance assessments of the DeVault Alumni Center, including facility maintenance, long-term projects, scheduling, event management policies, practices, and staff.

• Oversee and direct support staff for the Executive Director, including management of appearances, reports, remarks, scheduling, and briefing materials for the Executive Director to ensure priorities are being met.• Manage the corporate functions of the IUAA’s Board of Managers, governing body of IU Alumni Association, Inc, a not-for-profit company. Organize events and communications for Board as well as advising body, the Executive Council. Cultivate new alumni volunteers and donors and work closely with IU Foundation partners.• Administer and supervise the direction, priorities, and performance assessments of the DeVault Alumni Center, including facility maintenance, scheduling, event management policies, practices, and staff.• Manage Baccalaureate Ceremony each May. Coordinate and serve as liaison to various university departments on gifts and other hospitality.
