Senior Infrastructure Specialist, Sea
CurrentIT Equipment Management:• Oversee procurement, installation, configuration, and maintenance of desktop and production hardware, conference room IT systems, local servers (both physical and virtual), PBX systems, and small mobile devices (e.g., smartphones, tablets).• Troubleshoot issues related to computers, printers, and local network appliances, and manage IT infrastructure elements such as power supply, cooling systems, and physical access.Support & Maintenance:• Ensure regular backup and restoration processes for desktop and server systems.• Maintain and update IT security systems and manage local and global security protocols.• Perform routine operational checks, manage user accounts, and provide first-level support for office applications.• Conduct IT infrastructure training for users as needed.Coordination with Central IT:• Assist in centrally organized IT projects and serve as the local liaison for central IT activities.• Collaborate with central IT teams (e.g., International Coordination, Data Centre, Network & Security) and maintain WAN-node as advised.• Engage with local service providers, manage ticketing systems, and pre-qualify IT issues.Reporting & Compliance:• Report to local management and the central IT department on IT operations and issues.• Handle local IT budget preparation and expense management.• Ensure adherence to IT processes and legal compliance, including software licensing.• Provide input for IT budgeting and transfer local IT needs to central IT with defined requirements and recommendations.Leadership & Development:• Lead and develop local IT staff, ensuring alignment with both local and central IT processes and objectives.• Communicate IT issues effectively within the organization and drive continuous improvement in IT systems and processes.
