"Out of the Gray" is a 501(c)3 that serves an often forgotten population - caregivers; unpaid, primarily women; family members, taking on the 24/7 care for those unable to care for themselves. In this role, I write and distribute press releases and backgrounder documents, copy edit correspondence written by the Executive Director, and pitch coverage to local media outlets. I assisted in planning a successful summer fundraiser; booking a live auctioneer, procuring auction/raffle items, finding sponsors, and selling tickets.

Wrote and produced show live to web. “Connect to Congress” – Coordinated segments in which members of Washington state’s federal delegation can speak to constituents about the issues they are tackling in Congress Managed the Problem Solver Fund, a 501-c3 established by the station to raise money/distribute funds to people in need. Choose stories/people to cover; monitor donation site; plan check presentation and follow-up stories. Communicated with corporate owner Sinclair Broadcast Group – exporting daily news/breaking news stories to the station group; produce special stories for nationwide group during ratings. Built election races/results and create school closings for air/web with Newsroom Solutions software.
