The company currently remains in the City of Albany and continues to expand its operations.• Managed New York State’s Empire Zones program for the City of Albany. The Empire Zone program reserved New York State tax benefits to businesses located in designated zones. Increased participation in the program through outreach to eligible businesses, guiding businesses through the application process, preparing cost-benefit analyses and justifications for certification of businesses.• Furthered economic development in the Albany by guiding businesses through various financing and loan options available through City of Albany and other area organizations, providing site location assistance, and facilitating networking opportunities. • Managed administrative staff and functions including interviewing, hiring and training of new administrative assistants, interns, and temporary help.• Organized and executed multiple series of development meetings for over fifty top-level business executives and government officials.• Drafted speeches, press releases, and correspondence related to economic development on behalf of the Mayor of the City of Albany.
