When the company first formed a DevOps team I was a subject matter expert internally and was on the founding team of three engineers lead by a director. I brought the internal knowledge while we searched out and implement a process for continuous integration and continuous deployment to the best that the company process would allow. While the team was in its infancy and a backlog of tasks and process was growing I helped manage, train, and guide two off shore teams for development work and incident response coverage. Interviewed and help guide hiring decisions for team members both in home office and for outsourced members on the devOps teams. Helped set up and manage process for creating and maintaining a obfuscated subset of production data to provide accurate testing in a non-live testing environment. This involved cross team collaboration and process creation for how moving forward recapturing data and providing new snapshots for future updates. Organized and maintained statistics for for software uptime for our users including affected areas, user counts, response and recovery times.

Started my path at correct care solutions as a junior developer working front and back end fixing bugs and developing small features in the companies primary in house software ERMA. During my development work I learned powershell and ended up maintaining the deployment configuration and process left behind by senior developers. This added responsibility of early form of release management work was in addition to my development deliverables. I grew as a developer as well and forming my deployment and configuration skills while in this role before helping start and form the DevOps team for the company.
