Manage serious, complex and large exposure Commercial Specific Claims by investigating, analyzing and determining the extent of risk relative to coverage, liability and/or damages. Attempts to affect settlement with claimants and/or insureds while providing claims litigation expertise and managing outside counsel through the litigation process including; selection of experts, preparation of critical depositions, mediation, arbitration or trial on high exposure commercial specific claims. Claims involve complex commercial coverage questions, multiple carriers, multiple vehicles, property, pedestrians, employees and/or injuries.

Project oversight for Claims Legal productivity measures, QA db reporting capability, Customer Satisfaction Survey. Operations oversight of administrative staff that includes developing and testing key measures, directing workflow, and establishing a QA process for paralegal work. Serve as the technical resource for the department, monitor umbrella claims and underlying loss reporting, and ensure the integrity of our reporting orgs and the LRD data.

Overview:Responsible for the day-to-day administration, development and technical supervision of full time, National Catastrophe Response Team (NCRT) CAT Representatives. In the event of an expanded deployment, the scope of my leadership expanded to include process (Hurricane Katrina Salvage) and direct leadership of designated response teams. Quality/Customer Service - Reviewed property damage and coverage requests - Handled escalated complaints and service recovery efforts - Managed daily call volume and time off requests - Provided real time tactical claims assistance to CAT Reps - Monitored and updated tracking mechanisms to ensure compliance Personnel Management - Oriented and coached CAT reps - Monitored performance and recommended disciplinary action - Participated in hiring, performance management, individual development planning and salary changes. - Approved expense drafts/per diems etc. Reporting/Communication - Served as the liaison for various corporate leaders and teams. - Reported current/future activities to CAT management team and local PCS organization - Reported historical, current and future activities to CAT management team as well as local and regional organizations- Completed team level monthly reports
