I am fully trained as an Electrical fitter and have progressed into Electronics and have also worked on a wide range of projects. These augment my experience as a Senior ET (Electronic Technician). Very much a team player, I am comfortable working with tools and contributing to the collaborative effort of a group and also, as my last posts bears out, am capable of taking a lead role and setting direction for the work of others. Moreover, I have developed the sort of inter-personal and communication skills, which help me to integrate well with working teams. I am current employed by Seadrill in Korea as a Senior ET on a 6th generation cyber rig with dynamic positioning and have held this current post for over 5 years. My day-to-day duties include planned maintenance and covering with breakdowns on equipment including Drilling Packages, Engine Management Systems ( SCADA ), Integrated Control Systems, Radio and IT systems, Fire & Gas, BOP and BOP MUX Systems Engine and Crane Control Systems and assisting other department with technical queries. I also work on new installations and the commissioning of the same. On new builds I carry out factory acceptance of new equipment, quality control and technical support. While this work requires extensive technical skills and experience, it also requires analytical skills, strong team-working and communication abilities, and leadership.Using AMOS and other computerised, integrated IT systems I carry out inventory checking, inputting of planned and unplanned maintenance and creating work orders for outstanding work.
