I am fully trained as an Electrical fitter and have progressed into Electronics and have also worked on a wide range of projects. These augment my experience as a Senior ET (Electronic Technician). You can find further details about this in the work history section of my CV.I have good overall experience and adapt well and quickly to new working environments. Very much a team player, I am comfortable working with tools and contributing to the collaborative effort of a group and also, as my last posts bears out, am capable of taking a lead role and setting direction for the work of others. Moreover, I have developed the sort of inter-personal and communication skills, which help me to integrate well with working teams. I am current employed by Seadrill in Korea as a Senior ET on a 6th generation cyber rig with dynamic positioning and have held this current post for over 5 years. My day-to-day duties include planned maintenance and covering with breakdowns on equipment including Drilling Packages, Engine Management Systems ( SCADA ), Integrated Control Systems, Radio and IT systems, Fire & Gas, BOP and BOP MUX Systems Engine and Crane Control Systems and assisting other department with technical queries. I also work on new installations and the commissioning of the same. On new builds I carry out factory acceptance of new equipment, quality control and technical support. While this work requires extensive technical skills and experience, it also requires analytical skills, strong team-working and communication abilities, and leadership.Using AMOS and other computerised, integrated IT systems I carry out inventory checking, inputting of planned and unplanned maintenance and creating work orders for outstanding work.
