As part of the Government Contracting Consulting Group, Kelly helped businesses that hold government contracts with issues such as preparing for a DCAA audit, indirect rate development and strategies, bid & proposal efforts, FAR and CAS compliance, and accounting system reviews, selections and implementations.

Chief Financial Officer for base operations and logistics government contractor. Special initiatives included restructuring accounting, information technology and office management departments, implementation of Deltek's Cospoint system, and analysis and integration of mergers and acquisitions.

Director of Finance for an architecture and engineering services firm for local, state and federal government customers. Special initatives included restructuring the accounting department; policies, procedures and systems to become FAR compliant, and implementing Deltek's Costpoint system for firm and construction management subsidiary.

Controller for engineering and integration solutions services firm primarily service DoD agencies. Special initiatives included restructuring the accounting department, developing policies and procedures to comply with FAR, restructuring and initializing certain modules in Deltek's GCS Premier program.

Full responsibility for the planning, supervision, and completion of annual audits for medium and large clients in the area of $50 to $150 + mil. Industry experience includes Manufacturing, Construction, Agriculture, Distribution, and Retail Sales. Specific industry background in forestry, wood and paper products, food, healthcare, grain, and oil & gas. Limited tax preparation and planning was included as part of client relations. Also responsible for client development and internal staff recruiting.
