As a Fulbright ETA I worked as an English Teaching Assistant at SMK Mat Salleh in Ranau, Sabah Malaysia form January 2015-November 2015. As an ETA my responsibilities included planning lessons, teaching, co-teaching, leading clubs or sports, and planning two weekend English camps. I established a project entitled "Humans of Borneo" inspired by the "Humans.

As an ESL teacher I would hold 25 minute lessons with various Chinese students through the 91 Waijiao online platform. I would teach students through various lessons as well as create conversation to help them practice and perfect their conversation skills as new English speakers.

As a peer counselor for the Study Abroad Office at New Paltz it was my responsibility to gain student interest in study abroad, discuss and advise students on different options available to them, help them prepare for departure.

I met once a week with an English Second Language student. It is considered an informal tutoring session because most of these students are considered intermediate to fluent in English. We would speak for one hour about various things; differences in cultures, travel experiences, school.
