Manage multiple entities within the Financial Services division while providing leadership to managers and staff, with accountability for results. Plan, organize, and directs 18 professional accounting staff and managers responsible for the accounting operations and financial reporting of CSU Chancellor’s Office, Auxiliaries, Systemwide Revenue Bond (SRB) program and CSU Risk Management Authority. •Develop and implement goals, objectives, policies, and procedures to gain efficiencies throughout the organization as well as adhere to CSU and governmental rules, regulations, and legislations;•Act as a liaison and provide guidance between CSU Headquarters and campus professionals related to accounting activities and related inquires; •Serve as Lead Functional Accounting Representative for various PeopleSoft module implementations; general ledger, asset management, and accounts receivable/billing. •Assure all reporting systems and procedures are in compliance with ICSUAM, the CSU Legal and Reporting Manual, and acceptable accounting standards;•Establish systemwide guidelines, accounting treatment, and communications in order to develop strategic solutions for the CSU as a whole;•Develop strategies for changes in the accounting system or procedures;•Develop the department’s annual budget and Cost Recovery plans in compliance with EO1000;•Manage department personnel issues including recruiting, training, recommendations for promotions, and working with HR on disciplinary actions, including termination, if needed;•Provided oversight of the activities associated with financial reporting of the Chancellor’s Office and its subsidiary auxiliary organizations in conformity with generally accepted accounting principles for both GASB and FASB entities including the CSU Risk Management Authority and the SRB program.
