This position has allowed me to work on the first FDA approval COVID-19 vaccine while a large population of subjects. I have had many on the job learning experiences that have allowed me to develop my skills in talking to patients about the trial they are joining, the tests that will be performs, why it is being done, and how to will benefit the research.

After graduating into the pandemic and knowing I wanted to work in medicine but also wanted to capitalize on my experiences in research, I was searching for my answer and clinical research was just that. Clinical research allowed me to further my interest in data management/logistics and to learn about the flow of patient care from their first interaction.

My first job after completing my degree provided me with an introduction to working in healthcare and being a point of contact between patients and their healthcare providers. This is the job that solidified my idea that I wanted to work in healthcare but also showed me that I wanted to have a more active roll in patient care than being at a front desk.
