Geoarchaeologist-Principal Investigator-Project Manager
CurrentMr. Lawrence is a Principal Investigator-Geoarchaeologist and Project Manager for the Cultural Resources Division in SWCA’s Austin office specializing in prehistoric archaeology, geoarchaeology, and Section 106 compliance. His experience includes over 28 years of cultural resources surveying, recording, monitoring, and excavation throughout Texas and Oklahoma as well as Arkansas, Colorado, Kansas, New Mexico, Nevada, Oregon, South Dakota, Texas, Utah, Wyoming, and Costa Rica. He also has experience in geoarchaeological research and various laboratory analyses. With extensive writing experience, he has also authored and co-authored numerous archaeological reports, geomorphic assessments, and geoarchaeological reports. Some of Mr. Lawrence’s responsibilities include coordination with various local, state, and federal regulatory agencies as well as clients and subcontractors. He has managed and served as a Principal Investigator on numerous projects, ranging from large-scale interstate linear corridor surveys, land development, and transportation projects, to small-scale water district, gas storage, and private improvement projects. He also supervises and mentors Program staff.
