Ken has over 40 years of experience in operational leadership and engineering consulting. He specializes in engineering, operations, industrial hygiene, and training. His process experience includes metals, ceramics, plastics, and chemicals. Ken believes that the primary goal of manufacturing is to produce a quality product that customers want at the most competitive price.Ken has performed in public and private corporations, union and non-union organizations, and this "hands-on" leadership style allows Ken to understand operations and provide value in the areas of process/product improvement, product development, and manufacturing cost modeling and cost reduction activities. Ken uses Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Root Cause Analysis techniques, and process mapping as an organized approach to problem solving and risk analysis. Ken’s career started in safety/training and human resources then transitioned to plant maintenance and engineering and eventually to operational leadership. This path allowed Ken to understand the critical aspects of the manufacturing process including; people, technology and process. Additionally, Ken has startup experience in both new processes (ceramics) and a new business (plastics). During the last 10+ years Ken, serving as an engineering consultant, has used his manufacturing experience to support consulting clients in areas of product development, process improvement, capital project preparation, cost reduction and technical problem solving.Currently Ken is a Senior Project Engineer with the EFI Group LLC.
