I am a highly motivated and driven individual who accomplishes goals by working together as a team in one direction. I believe if everyone on the team is working in one direction for a common goal, then company objectives can be meet or exceeded. I have over 25 years of management experience in employee relations, retail sales, inventory management, merchandising and negotiations.Currently my position entails the purchasing of all Optics and Lasers with experience in Cutlery, Flashlights, Black Powder, Ammunition, Accessories and Archery. These duties include all aspects of purchasing for five warehouses, from PO management, building monthly flyers, organizing sales promotions and all negotiations of terms, coop, discounts and rebates.As you can see from my resume, I have extensive experience and training in sales and merchandising from owning my own store where sales exceeded $1.5M, 60% of which were hunting and fishing supplies to managing the sporting goods department of a local pawn shop with $2M in sales. Most profits from these businesses came from big ticket items like guns, ammunition, optics and safes. Additional experiences include industrial sales of lubricants and implementing marketing strategies including but not limited to swag, dinners, lunches and promotional gifts to seal the deal. The above type selling was in great contrast to my first experience in selling farm equipment and farm supplies was where I learned cold calling, closing the deal and the numbers game. Over the years I have learned that selling is a mathematic equation of sort. It is simple and complex at the same time. The simple part is to just make the call, and the number of calls you make are in direct correlation to success. The complex part is knowing when and how to close the deal and walk away.
