As a Master’s Thesis Student in the Center for Experimental Orthopedics Research Center at Heidelberg University Hospital, my research work contributed to the investigation of molecular and biological aspects involved in cartilage and bone regeneration. Specifically, my work focused on assessing the effects of secreted WNT modulators during MSC in vitro chondrogenesis.

Conducted research work characterizing cardiac fibroblasts in oxygen deprivation state.

As a research assistant for Dr. Alayna Loiselle at the University of Rochester’s Center for Musculoskeletal Research, my work involved delineating the functions of different cell populations involved in fibrotic tendon healing. Specifically, my work focused on defining the role of extrinsic versus intrinsic S100a4 cells in the tendon healing process. My responsibilities included mouse breeding and colony management, murine recover surgery, tissue harvesting, sample processing, staining techniques, microscopic imaging and analysis, and biomechanical testing and analysis. I presented my work with poster presentations at Biomedical Engineering Society Annual Meeting 2020, and the Orthopedic Research Society Annual Meeting 2021.

Assisted in recording and tracking engineering documents related to the manufacturing of various medical devices.
