I set up and ran an engineering company with a business partner, working from home on projects based in London and SE England.We set up a client base with contacts from when we worked in greater London. We provided plans, calculations, details and advice for all aspects of domestic refurbishments, extensions and conversions.

I was responsible for Managing the Technical Services required within the company. I managed the building surveys, the production of architectural and engineering drawings created using AutoCAD. I worked with the structural engineers designing layouts and providing solutions. The contractors on site contacted me for assisitance and advice before and during construction.My role involed technical based, client facing project management. Within the company I assisted with other departments as the company grew; I often provided job costings and managed the office based administartion department.I assisted the sales department with pre-sales technical advice and I would often visit site to discuss options with clients, either on my own or with the contractor/project manager or design consultant. Within the last few months in this role I managed a 3rd party civil engineering consultancy; they were taken on to provide technical assistance as the company grew.
