I have a diverse background in ecology, biology, and chemistry working mostly through an entomological lens. I have performed research on grasshopper ecology as it relates to Northern bobwhite conservation in Oklahoma, insecticide resistance in Western corn rootworm populations across the state of Iowa, and biological control of a non-native insect pest of ornamental crapemyrtles in Texas. I currently work as a chemist for the State of Maine testing water samples for several bacterial and inorganic analytes.I have a bachelor's in English and have several published peer-reviewed articles (under the name Kenneth E. Masloski). I enjoy writing and having an opportunity to write about science is not something I would pass up.I am currently looking for a position that allows for a broader use of my diverse background where I can contribute to a team goal, either collaboratively or independently. I relish the opportunity to be part of a diverse team and learn from my peers and coworkers.
