Our model works to encourage industry to take an active role in sector development and be a participant in the process to build talent pipelines.

*Conceived, created and managed the Workforce Board Business Development Unit which consisted of 9 staff focused on building new relationships and selling workforce services to new and existing customers in our 14 county service area. The concept won the Texas Workforce Commission Service to Business Award in December of 2016. A coveted prize valued at $30,000. *Developed the boards targeted strategy to secure state funded Skills Development Fund grants to bring workforce training into our region and strengthen our relationship with all college partners in our territory. The strategy successfully grew grant funded projects in our region to $8 million dollars in 2017, a number that represented 1/3 of the total funding allocated for the entire state in the same year. That number was the result of 16 new grant funded projects in our region which also resulted in 16 $5,000 incentive payments to the board totaling $80,000, our efforts and innovative nature have continually been recognized by the state. *Nominated to the Texas Economic Development Council (TEDC) Board of Directors in 2015 to serve as a direct link between workforce and economic development. A nomination that was a first in Texas, the board position marks the first time a workforce board employee was named to the TEDC Board of Directors. *Named as Co-Chair of the TEDC Workforce Committee for 2017. *Served as an instructor for the Basic Economic Development Course (BEDC) teaching the segment on workforce development for five years. *Worked with the Dallas Regional Chamber, Economic Development Corporations and cities in our region on relocation and business retention prospects. *Managed the workforce boards industry sector strategy program focused on the Logistics & Supply Chain industry, which resulted in the creation of the first ever front line certification program for entry and mid level workers for the logistics industry.

*Built relationships with business in the Dallas area to market the Methodist Hospitals of Dallas system, services, and physician network. *Served as a business retention agent for the hospital and regularly visited with existing business contacts for the purpose of retaining their business connection to the hospital, listening to any issues they might have with the hospital, network or past services provided by the mobile team and attempt to resolve those issues or refer them to the corporate office for resolution. *Responsible for securing new business contacts ranging from small business enterprises to large corporations, sell services to them and work with companies to secure insurance coverage or corporate/company sponsorship of elected services. *Created spreadsheets to analyze the profitability of services provided to business to determine the potential cost and profit margins of requested services.*Served on the Oak Cliff Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and acted as a liaison between the chamber and the hospital system.

*Marketed the FPA physicians network and services to HMO and Medicare HMO program plan members.*Consulted with network physicians to develop a strategic marketing plan designed to increase revenue for the Dallas region. *Coordinated events for commercial business members and senior plan participants. *Increased senior enrollment by over 1,000 in the first year. *Exceeded proposed revenue objectives by 75%.
