Once approved, create final fabrication and detailed installation drawings.- In approved drawings, review each elevation/plan view, determine specific part needs, and communicate information to purchasing.- Design custom parts to fit existing onsite conditions and client requests, anywhere from a simple variation of a standard part to creating an entire new railing system assembly.- Check the work of 10 other drafters and make necessary revisions prior to fabrication. This accounts for approximately 50% of the position.- Help company transition from using AutoCAD software to Revit software, including updating and maintaining company’s Revit BIM (building information modeling) library.- Trained 8 new employees on the drafting standards of the company, drafting technique, and project timelines/needs.- Create methods used by other technicians to improve productivity and speed up project turnaround using Revit.
