As a Teaching and Learning Specialist I support new members of staff to settle into teaching and share good practice. I have a support role within a department, helping to deliver CPD and playing an integral part in the improvement of teaching, learning and assessment across the college.I aim to support teachers to provide the best learning experience for all of our students. I have been part of a large scale project across Essex, working with other colleges to collaborate on strategies to support new and inexperienced members of staff. Within my establishment I took a lead role which meant organising staff to complete supported experiments in the classroom, and then ensure reflections were recorded to provide impact evidence. I was also part of the quality assurance aspect by contributing to monthly reports, and leading on a final stage audit, which my college passed with flying colours, by providing robust and concise evidence which was praised by the auditor.

Teaching GCSE and Functional Skills English to 16-19 year old and adult students.I currently work within the Motor Vehicle department, teaching students and supporting them through their functional skills or GCSE examinations.I also invigilate exams and have experience marking functional skills examination papers.

I have my own blog that I update regularly with reviews and articles as well as managing several social media accounts that also include news and trailers.I have had film reviews printed in the local press including the Thurrock Enquirer newspaper and YourThurrock website.

I support children's learning through various methods. I encourage SEN children and accelerate the learning of gifted and talented pupils.I perform administrative tasks such as registers, collecting dinner money and taking responsibility for forms and letters for the class.
