People centric and charismatic, I bring experience of multi-agency complexity, operations and personnel development which I can apply equally in a boardroom or in the remote outdoors. I see problems through the parallel lenses of rigorous data analysis and the esoteric people dimension. Recently I have amassed extensive experience of the way the Ukraine Conflict is changing warfare, the geopolitics of the Arctic and the ethical and legal challenges associated with attempting to manage migration.I am currently providing advice on uncrewed systems and Mountain and Arctic warfare equipment, drawing on recent experience and ongoing currency in the remote outdoors.I am able to plan and lead remote adventures, particularly in the Arctic primarily through our expedition ready yacht. I have a wide portfolio of adventure on the sea, in the mountains and on rivers, the highlight being navigating the Arctic Northwest Passage in a 17-foot open boat (recounted in the book, "Blokes Up North"). I am a qualified mountaineer, RYA Yachtmaster, qualified white water raft guide and also enjoy back country skiing and mountain biking, all preferably conducted in remote areas.
