Weekly Turnover of £25,000 NetWhilst running my venue Apollo 23 I undertook a freelance role as artist liaison. The key tasks within this role included Liaising with the Record Label and Tour Manager through contacting and arranging dinners, hotels, drinks, meetings, press conferences, fan meeting and greeting, public appearances, promotional tours and live shows. Throughout this role I had the opportunity to work with many top named artists in the Music industry today. This role helped me to develop my time keeping skills and the ability to work to important deadlines. I also have a sound knowledge of sound tech systems used in live music and would be confident solving technical problems if there were any faults encountered during show and performances. I always demonstrated an excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise with people at all levels. I also have a sound understanding of event delivery and a strong interest in the music and artists I worked with.

Apollo 23Manager (in addition to the above role)Weekly Turnover £35,000 (wet and dry)Apollo 23, situated on Renfrew street Glasgow was a new Live music and entertainment venue. Whilst in charge I was responsible for all promotion, marketing and day to day running of the venue. This required frequent consultations with the Police, Licensing Officers and EHO.

Weekly Turnover £79,000 (wet and dry)A large city center venue with a capacity of over 1800 in the club and 350 in the Comedy Club, this 3 story combined venue is one of the largest in a national company, has an annual turnover of approx $10 million and trade in day time, food service, entertainment and late night dance club. As Manager and duty manger I took control of the HR for a team of over 60 staff members. I also introduced new financial controls as well as being in day to day second in control of the general running of the venue. This required frequent consultations with the Police, Licensing Officers and EHO as well as running promotions and marketing strategies. Dealing with a young and transient staff team required me to deal with all stages from recruitment and training of new staff, to disciplinary procedures and termination. Having worked from temporary casual staff to assistant manager within the venue gave me a fantastic knowledge of all areas of the business and this transmitted to my commitment to motivate and enable my staff team to constantly strive for their best and to continuously seek improvement.
