Provide strategic leadership oversight for: Energy, Environmental and GovernmentCompliance, Emergency Services, Department Safety Programs, Department Capital Projects and Department Finance for the Facilities Operations of Atlantis. This position is also responsible for themanagement of the day-to-day operations which includes coaching, mentoring, as well as developing and training of the team to ensure high performance results.Mitigate and Minimize risk exposure as it relates to emergency response and preparedness toinclude disaster management.Coordinate and control Repair & Maintenance monthly expenses for all in-house andcontractor projects within the budgeted or forecasted guidelines utilizing the checkbookaccounting methods to achieve a balance P&L statement.Coordinate efforts with Engineering and other affected departments. Use projectmanagement techniques along with the appropriately assigned engineering team membersto perform project planning and execution. All methods, materials and practices must meetand be in accordance with local codes, company specifications, national codes and industrystandard and practices. Maintain all department staff schedules and staffing levels to always ensure propercoverage while only utilizing over time when absolutely necessary or when it makesfinancial sense.• To continually support and improve engineering services that effectively address problemsto reduce the downtime of equipment that might negatively impact guests, residents,businesses, and associates.• Responsible for the supervision of repairs and preventative maintenance programs withinthe Facilities operation

Responsible for the leadership, coordination, maintenance, management and implementation of emergency preparedness, response and business continuity activities as it relates to fire, hurricanes and terrorism. To plan and coordinate casualty and property loss control prevention inspections with internal and external stakeholders. Provide oversight for the company’s casualty and property risk management and prevention programs policies and procedures while managing the business and technical relationship of Kerzner Internationals Paradise Island operations risk insurance brokers, Marsh, and various other engineering support consultants. Successfully implement capital projects related to Fire and Life Safety system upgrades and replacements in order to remain compliant with applicable national and international standards set forth by various government agencies such as: Ministry of Works, Ministry of Tourism, The Fire Division of the Royal Bahamas Police Department as well as the National Fire Protection Association. Coordinate the overall implementation of the companies Hurricane Emergency Response Plan and ensure full compliance with the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) of the Bahamas. Manage the departmental operations with the aide of the technical support team within the company budgetary guidelines to improve the companies profitability and minimize financial loss. Facilitated several special projects in the area of: Energy Conservation, Power Quality, Energy Metering, Energy Web Base Accounting Systems, Environmental and Recycling Programs and Policies.  Continue to provide budget oversight for the companies Utilities budget which eclipse $60 million dollars per annum.

 Developed a comprehensive Total Energy Management program which increases employee and guest awareness, enhance operational and system performance, improve trade alley relations and facilitate open dialogs with utility providers leading to successful contract negotiations.  Manage Kerzner Internationals $32 million dollar energy budget by implementing various projects and programs which reduce cost in the areas of Fuel Oils, Water and Electricity.  Conduct feasibility and cost effectiveness evaluation of renewable energy solutions such as solar lighting and heating systems, waste heat recovery, wind power generation, alternative fuel applications, and Biomass recovery. Successfully implemented and manages the Internet Base Energy Accounting System for Kerzner Properties at Atlantis through Servidyne Systems International. Managed the successful implementation of a $310,000 Power Quality Project which resulted in the Overall reduction of energy of more than 10% or over $100,000 annually. Successfully managed the Landscape Lighting Maintenance and Capitol Improvement projects by providing quality and cost control solutions which ensured the successful utilization of the $250,000 annual capitol budget and the more than $200,000 annual maintenance budget. Coordinated the electrical maintenance program for the Marina as we as the implementation of the over $700,000 power upgrade project to increase revenues at the Marina.

 Managed the $250,000 consulting engagement with KPMG Financial Institute to identify and evaluate opportunities to provide commercial and industrial electric customers with financial risk management. Developed over the counter average strike call options denominated in natural gas, electricity and weather derivative products for retail customer while managing the daily Var limit of $250,000. Perform proficiently in front, mid and back office functions.  Assisted in the implementation and installation of trading management information system (Nucleus) to control operation risk.

• Maintained the business relationship with 25 key accounts totaling more then $20 million in annual energy sales to the company.• Developed and presented strategic, business and budget plans to upper management to identify technology and resource deployment, new product development and sales opportunities.

• Coordinated the DSM Plan development and filing with the Florida Public Service Commission (FPSC) in response to the FPSC’s Conservation Goals Docket. • Responsible for the continued implementation and enhancement of the residential, commercial and industrial dispatchable conservation programs, the largest DSM dispatchable program in the country.

• Completed a comprehensive analysis of commercial dispatchable programs cost-effectiveness and operation. • Provided technical marketing support to FPC’s planning team in order to ensure the yearly Megawatt reduction goal.

• Completed three work assignments within the Substation Relay Protection and Controls Division and Customer Service and Marketing of Demand Side Management programs as well as a comprehensive 52 week management development program with field and staff rotational assignments in the following departments: Marketing Services and Energy Efficiency, Distribution Engineering, Customer Services and System Planning.
