Provide engineering consultation services to aerospace companies typically dealing with the US government. Work included:- Supporting development of software for a technology demonstration of a regenerative fuel cell for space applications- Oversight/insight of contractor developed software for flight hardware and automated test equipment, supporting Solar Electric Propulsion projects- Assessment of safety critical software used in facilities at NASA Glenn Research Center and Armstrong Test Facility. - Development of Engineering services proposals with various companies- Expert witness associated with contracted software development efforts-Supported the transition of the High-Rate Delay Tolerant Networking (HDTN) software from NPR 7150.2D Class D to Class B

Oversaw numerous space flight and aeronautic power projects, including Solar Electric Propulsion, Hybrid Electric Aircraft, micro-gravity research, mission system planning and photovoltaic and electro-chemistry research. Focused on strategic planning for the power competency at the Center.

As the Deputy Division Chief led and enabled engineering development work for aerospace systems dealing with power systems, space communications, avionics and embedded software systems. Developed strategies to enhance customer satisfaction and achieve project results.

Supported NASA's Program Executive for Software Engineering frequently assisting in technical authority decisions . Responsible for the development of the agency's electronic handbook on Software Engineering. Supported various process improvement initiative activities including: development of the NASA Procedural Requirements for software engineering, industry bench-marking of software engineering practices, Office of the Chief Engineer Surveys/audits of centers, software release processes and promotion of the NASA Engineering Network Software Engineering Community of Practice.

Led a branch of Software Engineers that develop custom software solutions for mission critical embedded software applications and supporting ground systems. Implemented practices within the Branch that enabled the Branch to achieve a CMMI level 2 rating as designated by the Software Engineering Institute. Branch was responsible for a number of innovative software developments, including two that received NASA's Software of the Year award.

Served as Deputy Branch Chief for the Flight Software Engineering Branch. Organized, led and provided oversight for numerous micro-gravity experiment software developments.
