Kevin founded West Coast Bible College & Seminary, a 100% online Bible college, in August 2006 built on a specific mission to "create disciples of Christ, without creating disciples of debt." Pastoral Leadership at VLC: Over a decade, Kevin passionately served as the lead pastor at VLC, fostering strong connections with staff and church members. He guided leaders, delivered weekly sermons, spearheaded creative community outreach, and spurred notable growth. His pastoral responsibilities included officiating weddings and funerals alongside other ministerial tasks.Mission Giving Growth: Under his leadership, VLC's mission contributions remarkably increased from less than 1% to an average of 20% of the total annual income. Additionally, more than three-quarters of the congregation engaged in various mission outreach activities.Development of the Meeting Needs Food Pantry: During his time at VLC, Kevin initiated and expanded the Meeting Needs Food Pantry, elevating it to become McLennan County's second-largest food pantry.VLC Sports Complex and Gym Renovation: Kevin envisioned and oversaw the creation of a comprehensive sports complex at VLC. This included a football field, baseball field, t-ball fields, sand volleyball courts, a family pavilion, a playground, and a concession stand with restrooms.Leadership in The Gathering Waco: Collaborating with well-known individuals, including Presidential advisor Ramiro Pena and former Houston Astros owner Drayton McLane, Kevin played a pivotal role as the lead administrator of The Gathering Waco. This event unified over 200 local churches, attracting nearly 35,000 attendees at McLane Stadium at Baylor University.Response to the West Texas Explosion: In the aftermath of the West, Texas fertilizer plant explosion on April 17, 2013, Kevin led the Waco church community in supporting approximately 300 affected families in West to rebuild their lives over the following year.30-Minute Worship Service: Kevin introduced the innovative 30-Minute Worship Service, effectively drawing new individuals to Christianity and subsequently integrating them into the church's main service schedule.
