I'm a deeply experienced former US Navy flag officer and corporate business executive engaged in helping CEOs and business leaders become better leaders, make better decisions and drive better outcomes in business and in life. Skilled in national security strategy and practice, professional services, enterprise architecture, IT strategy, technology, cybersecurity, business development and enterprise management. I also provide business insight to companies serving the national security market.I was fortunate to serve in the US Navy for more than thirty years. I learned, taught, served and led in the Fleet and ashore around the world. My approach to leadership is based on those experiences and deepened by many years as a senior corporate executive and CEO of a consulting firm. Believing in "Mission First, People Always" upon the foundation of integrity, innovation, curiosity and gratitude for the genius and strength of individuals has illuminated my path. As a naval officer, I held five CEO-level positions, commanding warships, an aircraft carrier battle group, a large training base and a geographic area of responsibility. I later directed IBM's defense and intelligence community business then founded an independent professional services firm.I bring operational leadership knowledge and business expertise to my CEO peer group and serve as its Chair.
