Following a Part VII transfer sanctioned by the High Court - the business of Excess Insurance Company Limited was transferred to Hartford Financial Products International Limited in 2015. In May 2017 Hartford Financial Products was purchased by the Catalina Group and renamed as Catalina Worthing Insurance Limited. This company is now part of the UK consolidation within the Catalina Group. the ultimate parent company is based in Bermuda. The UK Insurance companies including CWIL are regulated in the UK by the PRA and FCA. The Catalina group specialise in the acquisition of run off portfolios and are a growing dynamic organisation.
