• Responsible for installation, configuration, optimization, maintenance, integration, testing, troubleshooting and repair of various complex electrical and electronic instruments and devices that support regional flood control, water supply and water quality operations of the agency.• Work with a high degree of independence and hold final responsibility for the quality and accuracy of my work with minimal or no rework required.• Work on assignments of non-routine complexity that require investigation and application of undetermined approach for completion.• Write technical reports and develop graphs or charts to document complicated operating characteristics, failures and limitations of the equipment.• Troubleshoot failed units down to the level of individual components, analyzing the cause of failures and implement solutions.• Build and install RTU panels from drawings; assemble components to desired configurations, load programs, test and work within sub-systems to ensure a proper functioning system.• Perform advanced analysis and interpretation of test data, site conditions and work activities.• Plan and carry out non-standardized builds, installations and system integrations.• Conduct training sessions for lower-level staff and provide remote assistance to them.• Proficient in the use of multimeters, spectrum analyzers and loop calibrators.• Equipment worked with included but not limited to Motorola ACE/MOSCAD remote terminal units, Rubicon SlipGate, shaft encoders, pressure sensors, position transducers, relays, radio modems, power supplies, solar charge controllers and 4-20mA control loops.
