- Orchestrated the fabrication of MEMS and bioMEMS devices employing bulk and surface micromachining techniques.- Established a protocol for positive and negative photolithography patterning.- Micromachined devices utilizing reactive ion etch, various anisotropic wet etching techniques, PVD, anodic bonding and soft lithography.- Implemented task specific packaging schemes for MEMS devices incorporating silicon, glass, SU-8, PDMS and urethane.Achievements:- Developed a silicon based, microfluidic FRET immunoassay chip for optical interrogation of biowarfare agents.- Created a novel microfluidic PCR chip that doubles the path length and nearly quadruples the amount of emission light in comparison to traditional MEMS chips.- Designed and fabricated hydrogen based MEMS PEM fuel cells significantly smaller than commercially available fuel cells. - Conceptualized, designed and fabricated a MEMS ELISA biochip that encompasses a dilution network, valves and mixers.

- Directed the digestion schedule, conducted inorganic analysis, implemented inorganic methods and established standard operating procedures.- Operated, troubleshot, and performed routine maintenance on ICP-AES, CVAA, FLAA, GFAA, GC/FID/PID, GC/MS, IC and IR Spectrophotometers.- Project Manager of mobile lab providing on-site analysis, answered technical inquires, and analytical reports. Achievements:- Successfully passed the stringent USACE Validation Program, EPA Performance Evaluations, and the Texas Department of Health inorganic certifications.- Increased the percent recovery and lowered the relative percent difference of matrix spike samples for over 90% of inorganic analytes.- Improved the accuracy of inorganic analytical results for EPA Performance Evaluations from 77% in 1995 to 96% for 1998.- The only DHL employee, in seven years of the company's history, to pass the EPA Performance Evaluation for method 7470/7471.
