In my new role as Health, Safety & Welfare Manager, I oversee the implementation and compliance of worker welfare standards across NEOM OXAGON. I also lead initiatives to enhance safety practices and improve living and working conditions for employees. Additionally, I manage audits, inspections, and corrective actions to ensure compliance with the NEOM Worker Welfare Standards and NEOM Projects Health and Safety Assurance Standards.

• Supervise on-site Health and Safety control and promote the safe conduct of site work and environmental protection;• Responsible for overseeing and ensuring the keeping of up to date HSE records, forms and files in accordance to the Project HSE Plan to ensure compliance and to enable auditing to be carried out;• Ensure application of, and the adherence to, the UCC Integrated SHEQ Management System;• Conduct / facilitate Employee Safety Induction, Day Visitor / Supplier Induction and Toolbox Talks and keeping related records of training and attendees;• Report any incidents, accidents or near misses immediately, as per the UCC procedure, (this may include liaison with police and / or authorities) and to secure the area by preventing that the area be tampered with;• Investigate incidents, accidents and near miss events to determine the root, basic and immediate causes and ensure that correction / corrective / preventative actions are implemented for all HSE related events.• Maintain communication by attending meetings (close action points from minutes) and close any violation or discrepancies raised by Consultant / Client;• Ensure site welfare facilities (rest areas, water, toilets, etc.) are sufficient for the number of personnel, and are being provided by the site supervisory staff as well as ensuring that high standards of hygiene are maintained;• Ensure that all employees and subcontractors comply with the company HSE rules, procedure and HSE operational controls as well as the Project HSE Plan;• Promote a positive HSE attitude to personnel, subcontractors, consultants and clients;• Establishing a list of hazardous tasks, requiring safe work permits, implement and maintain the required permit systems;• Establishing, as far as is reasonably practicable, what hazards are attached to any work undertaken at the workplace and ensuring that Risk Assessments are conducted, recorded and communicated;
