This summer, I built www.mobileboardgames.com, a website where strategy boardgame enthusiasts gather to play boardgames over the Internet. I built the website using Java, Spring, React, postgreSQL and Rocketchat. The game clients are Java Swing, primarily written by my partner in the project--he coded all the game logic. I added a wrapper around his code to facilitate maintaining game state on the server, and updating player ELO rankings based on the outcome of their matches.
