This summer, I built www.mobileboardgames.com, a website where strategy boardgame enthusiasts gather to play boardgames over the Internet. I built the website using Java, Spring, React, postgreSQL and Rocketchat. The game clients are Java Swing, primarily written by my partner in the project--he coded all the game logic. I added a wrapper around his code to facilitate maintaining game state on the server, and updating player ELO rankings based on the outcome of their matches.

Highlights:Appointed to the Board of Directors as Director and Co-Chair Interoperability and Standards. Select achievements include:• Hospital Group Purchasing PlatformLed the delivery of a multi-year program to build and implement an enterprise data management application replacing manual spreadsheet-processes. Managed the complete contract lifecycle for over 80% of Canadian hospital purchases, including medications and clinical supplies.• Pediatric Early Warning SystemDelivery lead for Pediatric Early Warning System, in collaboration with Pediatric Critical Care leadership from the Hospital for Sick Children. This system can predict a cardiac arrest one hour before it happens with a high degree of accuracy, alerts clinicians if a medical intervention is required. Led the integration of this system into the Hospital Information System, including single sign-on with patient context and bi-directional clinical data flow.• Orthopedic Assessment and Patient MonitoringJoint pain assessment and treatment recommendation web and mobile app delivery lead, in collaboration with the Orthopaedic Surgery leadership at the University Health Network. Conducted patient/consumer engagement to ensure adoption and use of the app. The app effectively assesses patient joint pain and recommends a course of treatment, tracking patient mobility and pain levels. UHN uses Machine Learning tools to analyze this outcomes data to recommend changes to the assessment and treatment algorithms. Show less
