As the Marketing Manager, the first responsibility is to provide strategic and creative leadership to the marketing team. Reporting to the Business Development Principal, primary goals and responsibilities include: ensure the development and execution of winning proposals and marketing campaigns, collaborate and support the Principals and business development leadership to position SMS as an innovator and leader in respective market sectors, manage all public relations through collaboration with local PR firm, develop social media strategies, research and provide strategy for emerging markets alongside the Business Development Principal, develop new written content, coordinate new project photography, collect internal and external debriefs from pursuits, as well as represent the firm at local industry events.

Assist in pursuit of new public and private clients through attendance of pre-bid meetings and walkthroughs, coordination of selected consultant team, research and analysis, and design of proposals and responses to RFQs and RFPs. Furthermore, support preparations for interview with client through additional research and collaboration in strategy meetings and creation of all marketing collateral, including PowerPoint presentation, agendas, leave behinds and presentation boards. Throughout the pursuit manage consultant and interior communications and schedule. Additional responsibilities include: website updates, award submittals, creation of industry brochures and rosters, graphic support for lectures and presentations, and coordination of company presence at major industry conferences.

The role of office manager included coordinating rep and library communications, overseeing billing and accounts receivable as well as office standards and culture.

As the Marketing and Seminar Manager for a local A/E/C Law Firm, tasks included oversight of marketing strategy and management of marketing team, including: website, social media, marketing communications and strategies, management of legal seminar strategies and course book supplements and editing.
