Responsible for directing the development of a wide variety of content across the realms of print, digital, TV, and radio. While a senior student at the Art Institute of Fort Worth, I worked as the Graphic Designer for the Student Affairs and Career Services Departments. I worked closely with faculty and staff to deliver design solutions for the campus on strict deadlines.

Managed equipment checkouts, ran the print shop and the student store, handled studio reservations, managed areas with restricted access, troubleshooted network issues, and worked with students, faculty, and staff one on one to solve connectivity issues and/or print design and photographic projects.

During my four years with the Dallas Derby Devils, I had a number of things I helped with. For a season and a half I helped with graphic work. This included flyers for the Slaughterers Roller Derby team, VIP passes for the Dallas Derby Devils Awards Ceremony, and other miscellaneous graphics and promotional materials.

My job as the Assistant Manager of Walnut Creek Apartments was to assist the Community Manager and leasing team with all leasing functions including showing apartments, responding to applicant inquiries and reviewing leasing application/paperwork. I was in charge of verifying and approving rental applications. I assisted the Community Manager with resident relations, responding to resident inquiries, requests for maintenance, and any other resident needs. I was responsible for managing all property data in eSite and I made sure the information was accurate and current. This includes but is not limited to leasing traffic, rental applications, resident payments and maintenance requests. I maintained resident records and account ledgers. I handled property deposits with the property’s bank and was held accountable for accuracy and timeliness. I enforced all collections procedures to meet monthly collections goals. I was proactive in maintaining targeted delinquency levels assigned to our community. I was responsible for notifying residents of all issues affecting their tenancy and rental obligations. I filed court documents for delinquent rent and appeared in court as my property’s representative during eviction proceedings. I assisted in compiling market surveys by maintaining knowledge of current local market conditions and rates. I managed lease renewals per guidelines established by property directives or company guidelines. I assisted in reviewing maintenance requests to ensure timely completion and resident satisfaction per company guidelines. I performed related duties and special projects as required by Community Manager and would act as Community Manager at functions in her absence. I also designed property flyers, and other marketing materials used for Walnut Creek and other UAG properties.

My job as a Leasing Professional for Walnut Creek Apartments was to lease apartments and retain our current residents through customer service, and sales techniques. I would greet prospects and qualify them for leasing by following community procedures including completing a Guest Card, going on a community tour, and making all prospects feel at home. I was responsible for recording all telephone traffic and in-person visits. I filed guest cards and followed-up with prospects and leases according to company procedures. I inspected models and available “market ready” apartments and communicated related service needs to the Lead Maintenance and the Property Manager. I would tour the community apartment/model and apply product knowledge to clients’ needs by communicating the features and benefits in order to close the sale. I would have the prospect complete an application and secure it with a deposit in accordance with the company procedures and Fair Housing requirements. I was responsible for updating the availability report, processing applications for approvals, attending to resident concerns (pre-management), and taking and turning in maintenance requests. I would submit the processed applications to the Community Manager or Assistant Manager for approval. I ensured that the leased apartment was ready for the resident to move-in on the agreed date. I handled the move-in procedures and appropriate paperwork prior to and during their move-in. I was also responsible for getting the new residents acclimated to the community. I also monitored and reported advertising effectiveness, and designed all property flyers for marketing or property functions.
