I focus on the end goal: What is the mission? Who are we trying to help? Why are we trying to help? I then blend analytical and relationship-building skills to bring about the results defined in the strategic plan and supported by the board. I fearlessly dig into barriers that hold the mission back and collaborate to address those barriers at every level. This may involve advocacy at the federal, state and/or local level. It can also involve bridging large agencies with small business operators to create opportunities for growth.Versatile experience across a range of missions and stakeholders including disabilities, justice-involved, substance use disorder recovery, faith-based, and education (at-risk, English Language Learners, pre-schoolers, gifted students, and college students).Transitional ManagementI have guided several nonprofits through times of transition. I developed new programming at a private preschool at a time when half of the program was removed because public kindergarten was started. I successfully developed financial plans for complex organizations at times of leadership transition. I selected and implemented operational and financial software for transitioning and start up organizations.Grant Writing, Management and Financial OversightI have successfully written, won and maintained various grants for a start up corporation. I currently manage several grants and restricted funds for a nonprofit. Through professional and volunteer opportunities, I have extensive experience in budget creation and financial review and oversight.People DevelopmentEncouraging staff members and officers to grow and continually learn brings me great satisfaction. Everyone succeeds when we are all viewed as thought leaders. I oversee hiring, onboarding, supervising, and coaching for a broad spectrum of positions, including board development, with a commitment to DEI principles.Public SpeakingI will talk with anyone who will listen about the cause I am advocating for. This includes audiences of diverse backgrounds and demographics with varied concerns, viewpoints and barriers. I have presented to small boards of a few people and to audiences of 100 or more.

Executive DirectorNhcorr Jan 2020 - PresentConcord, NhI jumped in as the first employee of this organization and brought it to a fully staffed office of three, selecting office space, equipment and operational and financial policies and platforms. While managing several state and private grants, NHCORR has grown from 18 to 90 certified recovery residences, distributes more than $350K per year for the benefit of approximately 750 individuals in recovery, and provides ombudsman services to those in recovery housing. I have also used my pubic speaking skills to make presentations on the national, state and local level. Through advocacy and public policy development, I have connected towns, state organizations, professional organizations, nonprofit funding organizations and those in recovery for the expansion and acceptance of housing for those with disability.

Chemistry Lab InstructorSaint Anselm College (And Unh, And Unh Cooperative Ext.) Aug 2006 - Dec 2019Manchester, NhThis was a fun and challanging opportunity to create and teach chemistry labs to a wide selection of people, from college students to gifted young women to at risk children. Of course public speaking was critical and people management skills were developed. But this was also a great opportunity to be creative and make chemistry reachable to everyone through the chemistry of art, the chemistry of cooking, lazers and jello jigglers. This was another opportunity for me to understand the needs, listen for the barriers and deliver the product in an effective way.
